  Apple Crumb Topped Pie      
 
1 unbaked pie shell
Filling:
5-7 medium size apples, cored, pared, and sliced
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Crumb Topping:
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
6 Tbsp. butter
Preheat oven to 375°. Place apples in unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Combine dry ingredients of crumb topping. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of pie and bake for 35-40 minutes. Top of pie can be covered with foil to prevent burning.
